Textile Free

We went swimming last Saturday at a mostly indoor pool.  We went about 10 in the morning and it was not crowded.  By noon, when we left, it had more people but not what you would call crowded.  We noticed on the sign showing Opening Hours that after 8:00 pm the pool was Textilfrei (Textile free).  Can you imagine?  I've heard that during the summer there is a lot of nude sunbathing in the parks.  I haven't seen it myself and I don't think I'll go on a bike ride through the park to check.  People tell me that businessmen will go to the park for lunch and just take all their clothes off and relax for an hour.  Nobody cares and it doesn't matter if you're skinny or not so skinny.  That is just too weird for me.

It has been unusually hot here and there is no air conditioning anywhere!  Not even our car has air conditioning! (Most cars do but not ours.)  Eric bought an air conditioning unit to take to work because it was so sweltering.  I am so wishing for a nice, overcast Seattle day.

My sister-in-law came to our house with her kids when Eric and I went to Berlin.  Rand is a really good entertainer of small children.  He'll take all the kids into the living room and lies down on the couch.  Then he'll say "Chocolate Cupcake (that's Lizzie), bring me a blanket", "Macaroni and Cheese (that's Easton), bring me a pillow".  They eat it up and they all end up piled on top of him giggling.  In this picture he has armed them all with bike helmets and some kind of hockey stick-like thing and they are playing Capture the Cup.
